FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

For auto transport, how much advance scheduling is necessary?

In general, we prefer to place your transport order in our system at least 5-7 days in advance of your travel date(s); after the order is finalized, we typically pick up vehicles within three days.

Are vehicles that you transport insured?

Absolutely. Every vehicle that Car Coach carries is covered with a minimum of $750,000 in liability insurance. When we pick up the vehicle, each driver will inspect the vehicle alongside the owner. Any defects in the vehicle’s condition will be noted at pickup and signed by both parties. Once the vehicle is delivered, the driver will again go over the vehicle with the owner, comparing the vehicle’s final condition to its initial paperwork, assuring owners that the delivery was completed without damage to their vehicle.

How fast can I get a quote for automotive transport?

For standard deliveries that don’t require special services, one business day is enough to provide a quote by phone or email. Call 800-201-1222 or email info@CCautotransport.com

What kind of delivery vehicles do you use?

Most of the time we use open-air double-decker rigs to transport vehicles. You’ve seen these on the road hauling new cars to the dealer. However, we are unable to use a specific type of car carrier, as we use a wide variety of drivers and vehicles to ensure the most efficient delivery of each vehicle.

What payment types are accepted?

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. In addition, we can accept payment by check, money order, certified check, and partial C.O.D.

What is the difference between an open carrier and an enclosed carrier?

Open carriers are what you see most commonly on the interstate hauling cars. They have differing sizes and capacities; some are single-level flatbeds, while others are humongous double-decker multi-car rigs. These are the most cost-effective option; however, there is an increased risk of vehicle damage from the road environment. For owners who choose a higher level of protection for their vehicle, we offer a slightly more expensive option--enclosed carrier, which provides four walls and a roof to protect your vehicle. This option is especially recommended for luxury, custom, or classic vehicles.

Must I be present at pickup and delivery?

Yes. Or you’ll need to choose someone you trust to stand in your place. Someone will need to be present to handle vehicle inspection and paperwork on both ends of the journey, so it should be someone you trust to sign for the vehicle’s condition.

Where will my vehicle be picked up and delivered?

Dropoff and pickup at your door is preferred; if that’s impossible, we’ll pick up and drop off as close as we can to your home address. Occasionally, local traffic or zoning regulations preclude our vehicles from entering some neighborhoods, and some routes simply can’t handle large vehicles. If this is the case, we will meet at a convenient location chosen by you; however, we recommend a mall or business with a large, flat lot.

How long does vehicle transportation take?

Obviously, the distance traveled has some bearing on this question. However, in general we can handle cross-country trips in one to two weeks. For smaller distances, we can often complete transit in less than one week. Of course, there are numerous potential mitigating factors for each trip: total distance, congestion, weather patterns, mechanical failure, or seasonal traffic. Any of these (or other unforeseen events) may impact your delivery date. All pickup / delivery dates are estimates only, and cannot be guaranteed. For customers in very remote areas, it may be possible to speed up the process by arranging to meet your driver in a more central location
